‘Religious Facility Sale’ submitted to ‘Cemetery Place’ perception in Izmit

KOCAELI (IGFA) –During the council meeting of the Izmit Municipality in May, land whose prices would be determined based on the current price was placed on the agenda because SGK had set a very low price. Mayor Fatma Kaplan Hürriyet gave the response to AK Party Council member Hayrettin Ünlü, who tried to raise the allegations of cemetery sales.

Mayor Hürriyet said: “We have removed six of our important countries from the list. Mr. Hayrettin, when you were a councilor, you put religious buildings up for sale. You sold the orphanage, the village room, the land and the service building in the village residential area. We act on behalf of the public and do not sell cemeteries or similar places. The places other than this, which are accepted to be exchanged to SGK for a lower price, we want to sell at the current value instead of exchanging them for a lower price. We do not want the land to be sold at a low price, as was the case with the sale of Belsa B Block. We act for the benefit of the institution. “Don’t try to create a different perception by playing with words,” he said.
