Although we live For the drama that unfolds before and during the Met Gala, it’s the after-party celebri-tea that we’re really getting excited about. Celebrities gathered at all kinds of (bougie) locations for their kick-ons this year, and we’re here to collect the crumbs they left behind like a gluttonous Australian version of Hansel and Gretel.

The 2024 Met Gala is over and in my opinion it was a resounding success. Where else can you find a riotous level of excess in one place?

But the question on everyone’s lips is: what’s happening? after the big bastard? Well, just like normal people, celebrities love a fat kickons – and the Americans recently discovered this Goon of FortuneI expect a star-studded POV video to leak soon.

Celebrities all over New York City partied like there was no tomorrow, because for them a big night on Monday has absolutely no consequences. Pleasure!

Met Gala 2024 Afterparties

Celebrity-hosted soirées

This year’s afterparties were hosted by a plethora of famous people and took place all over New York City. FKA branchesmy invitation got lost in the mail, I’m sorry I couldn’t come.

2024 Superbowl artist and RnB icon Guard reportedly hosting a “Secret Garden”-themed gathering at the Times Square Edition, a five-star hotel I could probably only visit in a drug-fueled New York fever dream. Oh, how the other half lives.

FKA twigs also hosted a post-Met Gala party at the Top of the Standard – also known as the Boom Boom Room – and that’s where all the cool people went.

I mean, come on, look at the vibrations.

There were also parties by Porsche, Loewe, TikTok (more on that later), Jean Paul Gaultier x Shayne Oliver Group and the ever-glamorous ‘Après With 2 Met Gala After-Party’, hosted by a slew of celebrities including Emily Ratajkowski.

While Loewe and TikTok’s afterparties were indeed STACKED, stars were like Lana Del Rey, Kendall Jenner, Bad bunny, Jaden Smith And Charli XCX were spotted living their best lives in the Après With 2, because sometimes one Met just isn’t enough. I definitely don’t know what party I would want to go to… there were icons everywhere.

Nightclub magnate Richie Akiva threw his 10th iteration of his infamous Met Gala kick-ons this year and, to be honest, it seemed like the place to be.

Celebrities like SZA, Lizzo, Teyana Taylor, Doja cat, Cardi B And Janelle Monae were there and it looked like a super fun time. Hell, even Lil Nas And Camila Cabello showed up, proving they had access to more than one hot afterparty.

Celebrities flirt

Despite reportedly breaking up in December last year, Kendall Jenner was spotted sitting next to Bad Bunny at one of the after-parties.

Honestly, they’re probably just really good friends.

But if Bad Bunny so much as breathed in my direction, I would be obsessed with him forever, so it is what it is.

The TikTok afterparty was a huge affair

Per Fashionwho attended the TikTok afterparty, everyone who was anything showed up at Casa Cruz.

But why on earth were celebrities like that? Shakira And Leonardo Dicaprio at a TikTok event? Well, it was a TikTok x Stella McCartney event, which might explain the appeal.

Charli XCX appeared, Karlie Kloss was spotted talking about it with a Russian businesswoman Dasha Zhukova, Venus AND Serena Williams came over, Matt Damon And Penelope Cruz came for a drink and Cara Delevingne And Rita Ora were there too.

Needless to say, it was one of the biggest nights after the Met Gala. I just need to know what all these people are talking about when they meet. Like what former tennis world No. 1 Venus Williams says to “I Will Never Let You Down” singer Rita Ora? The mind boggles.

The real celebrities of the Met Gala afterparties are those people brave enough to pull out their phones while a superstar is just steps away from them and film their midnight mischief.

Tyla showed everyone that she is truly the next rising star with this iconic dress.

Mother FKA twigs played new music at her own afterparty, which is daring considering most of her songs are slow and glitchy.

And yes, I know this isn’t released yet because I’m just obsessed with this woman’s music.

Bad Bunny and Kendall Jenner had the best time dancing to some hot tunes.

Teyana Taylor and Winnie Harlow It proves once again that they are the coolest people on earth, and it would be an honor to party with them.

When Lana laughs and has fun, I laugh and have fun.
