Hyderabad: Deputy Prime Minister Bhatti Vikramarka on Tuesday said the continuation of democracy, the Constitution and reservations are in jeopardy as the BJP is conspiring to amend the Constitution and abolish reservations. He tried to warn SCs, STs, OBCs, minorities and poorer sections of other communities that their future would be at stake if the BJP returns to power at the Centre. “Topple the BJP government to save the federal structure of the nation,” he said. “Several rights guaranteed to the people by the Constitution are being crushed by the BJP and when the leaders of the opposition parties raise their voice against the injustices of the saffron party ‘They are being intimidated into booking cases,’ Bhatti said, referring to the Delhi Police booked a case against CM A Revanth Reddy in connection with a doctored video of Union Home Minister Amit Shah. On the other hand, if Congress comes to power, it will initiate caste census, which will start in Telangana to give justice to weaker and oppressed sections of the society, he said. The minister also said that no one can topple the Congress government in Telangana.
