Terrible news for the Joshua Arms senior living facilities on Rowell Ave.

Joliet’s AM radio station, 1340 WJOL broke the news of the sudden and unexpected displacement of hundreds of Joshua Arms residents.

JOLIET – Just weeks after the Salem Village Nursing Home went bankrupt on Joliet’s Rowell Avenue, another senior living facility across the street at 1315 Rowell Avenue has been emptied because LSSI’s Joshua Arms Senior Residences has lost its electricity, according to reports. Joliet’s best news radio station.

According to WJOL 1340-AM, approximately 225 residents of Joshua Arms had to evacuate their homes on Rowell Avenue due to the power outage. WJOL morning show host Scott Slocum indicated that a pipe burst and caused a small electrical fire, leaving Joshua Arms without electricity.

At this stage it remains unclear how long it will take for the Joshua Arms senior center to reopen. Power is not expected to return until Friday at the earliest.
