The first Monday in May, better known as the 2024 Met Gala, remains one of the most anticipated fashion events of the year, bringing together the world’s top celebrities, designers and cultural icons at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City. This year’s theme, ‘Garden of Time’, complemented the Costume Institute’s ‘Sleeping Beauties: Reawakening Fashion’ exhibition, which inspired designers to explore the archives and ‘awaken’ iconic looks that were once thought they were lost to time.
