Miral announces highest ever visitor numbers for Yas Island and Saadiyat Island in 2023

Yas Island was unveiled on the sidelines of the Arabian Travel Market 2024 and recorded more than 34 million visits, while Saadiyat Island saw a 44% increase in visits.

Theme parks and CLYMB on Yas Island saw an 83% increase in visitors in 2023 compared to 2022. Regionally, the GCC saw a remarkable 125% growth in visitors compared to the previous year. The theme parks across the island also saw a substantial 167% increase in international visits, mainly driven by travelers from India, Britain, Russia and Germany.

Yas Island also saw exceptional growth for its consumer events in 2023, exceeding attendance expectations by a whopping 87%. More than 560,000 attendees gathered to enjoy concerts, performances, and world-class family and sporting events, including Lion King, UFC, NBA, Disney on Ice, Kevin Hart, Black Pink, the Backstreet Boys, Amr Diab and many more.

The destination also welcomed 23 MICE groups – an increase of 77% compared to the previous year – with a total related spend increase of 62% compared to the previous year.
