Committee members stressed the importance of ensuring that any changes to the counter’s opening hours do not endanger public order. With the launch of the upcoming Noida Airport in Jewar, nightlife in the city is predicted to flourish, prompting plans for 24×7 food and beverage outlets in IT parks. At a meeting with the excise department, the Noida Restaurant Owners Association pushed for an extension of bar operations till 4 am, noting that current regulations allow bars to remain open till 1 am. The committee has been directed to submit a report within 15 days, taking into account the similarity in economic activities and per capita income between Noida and Ghaziabad and other NCR cities like Delhi and Gurgaon, where nightlife is flourishing.
