Sister Juliette Goguen, ndsc (in religion Sr Marie-Claudia),
passed away after a short illness on Sunday, May 5, 2024 in the
Motherhouse of the Religieuses de Notre-Dame-du-Sacré-Coeur
in Moncton. She was 92 years old and in the
72nd year of her religious life. Born in
Cocagne, she was the daughter of the late Mathias and Claudia (Goguen)
Goguen.
In addition to her religious family, she is survived by one brother,
Néri (the late Imelda), as well as a few nieces and
cousins.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by three sisters:
Yvonne and two little sisters; and six brothers: Neil, Arthur, Henri,
Jean-Baptiste, Léo and Émile.
Sister Juliette will rest in the
Notre-Dame-d’Acadie pavilion of the Maison-mère
des Religieuses Notre-Dame-du-Sacré-Coeur, 125 King Street,
Moncton (Godfrey Lane entrance) on Tuesday, May 7 from 2:00 PM to 8:30 PM,
with solemn vespers at 7 p.m. Viewings will start again on Wednesday
May 8 from 9 a.m. until the funeral mass. The funeral mass will take place
celebrated on Wednesday, May 8 in the chapel of Maison-mère te
10am. The funeral mass will be streamed live and is also allowed
viewed on her obituary at www.frenettefuneralhome.com where
condolences can also be sent. The funeral will take place
Memramkok. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of
Frenette Funeral and Cremation Home, Moncton
(506-858-1900).
