Dua Lipa wears a lingerie-inspired look to the 2024 Met Gala

Congratulations to those who were radically optimistic about that Dua Lipa would attend Met Gala 2024. Your joyful instincts were right: the “Houdini” singer just walked up the Met stairs.

The Radical optimism singer wore a Marc Jacobs boudoir-inspired look with a corset top covered in black lace and a sheer sarong. Her bodice was adorned with dangling crystal strands, which added a striking sparkle as she walked the red carpet. Lipa also carried an ink-covered scarf, covered entirely in feathers.

Lipa’s look, styled by longtime fashion collaborator Lorenzo Posocco, was a more vampiric, darker take on the evening’s “Garden in Time” dress code.

She dressed up in polka dot opera gloves and several sparkling jewelry pieces, including a diamond pendant necklace, pear-shaped earrings and a super-sized diamond ring.

The pop star’s red carpet look was experimental and a statement: a true reflection of Dua’s bold style that has helped cement her as one of today’s leading trendsetters.

Beauty-wise, Lipa upped the ante on her romantic look by wearing her cherry red hair down and tousled. For makeup, she wore smoky and shimmery eyeshadow and a barely-there nude lip.

Last year, Lipa co-chaired the event, and she certainly played the role of one of the guests of honor at the 2023 Met Gala. Honoring the event’s theme, ‘Karl Lagerfeld: A Line of Beauty’ and dressed by her Posocco, the museum was simply described as an evening held ‘in honor of Karl’. The musician wore a beautiful Chanel Haute Couture Fall/Winter 1992 ball gown.

Her dress was made entirely of ivory tweed (a classic Chanel code) and had a fitted basque waist, woven black trim and a fringed hem. Supermodel Claudia Schiffer originally wore Lipa’s dress when it made its debut on the 1992 runway.
