“They’re here for us,” reads a new ad aimed at encouraging Rhode Islanders to visit businesses affected by the Washington Bridge closure. “Let’s all be there for them.”

The commercial, which launched Monday, is part of a $400,000 state-funded marketing campaign and was created by Providence-based RDW Group and East Providence-based Animus Studios.

The ad reminds customers that restaurants, shops, repair shops and medical offices are open on both sides of the bridge. It also includes guarantees from local entrepreneurs that traffic has been eased.

“Traffic has definitely gotten better,” Wendy Brown, the owner of Wendy Brown Home on the east side of Providence, says in the commercial.
