Mother’s Day is May 12 and celebrates all mothers and mother figures in our lives.

There are so many ways to say thank you, or to show the people we care about how much they mean to us.

This Mother’s Day, restaurants in the Fall River area are offering curated menus, brunch and even some extra special treats.

Venus de Milo, Swansea

There will be a Mother’s Day afternoon dinner at Venus de Milo restaurant. Spoil the mothers and mother figures in your life with mimosas and a meal. The menu includes prime rib, smoked ham, Newburg seafood, fried scrod, chicken a la vodka, San Marzano pasta with beef, Delmonico potatoes, squash, vegetables, seasonal and garden salads and desserts.

Tickets cost $54 for adults and $25 for children. A 20% gratuity and 7% tax will automatically be applied. Groups sit at one table; One check is allowed per table.

Limited seating is available: 12:00 PM, 12:30 PM, 2:00 PM, 2:30 PM, 3:00 PM, and 3:30 PM

The cancellation deadline is May 7, after which there will be no refunds.

The Brewhouse District, Fall River

They serve a limited menu from 11:30 AM to 8:00 PM

The Mother’s Day menu consists of:

Starters such as Portuguese mussels, served in a spicy tomato broth with banana peppers, onions and linguiça, served with toast points. Lobster tangoons, with crab, lobster, cream cheese and vegetable filling, served with orange-ginger marmalade sauce.

Soups, salads and a raw bar.

Entrees such as prime rib, chicken parmesan, fried stuffed shrimp, fish and chips and blackened salmon.

Lobster rolls, fried stuffed lobster and boiled lobster.

Gluten-free items can be requested.

They also have a children’s menu available.

Independence Harbor, Assonet

Independence Harbor hosts a Sunday brunch buffet on Mother’s Day.

They have a prime rib carving station, with au jus and horseradish cream sauces.

The brunch buffet menu also includes:

Herb Roasted Turkey with Mushroom Gravy, Chicken Piccata, Scallop and Shrimp Scampis, Baked Penne with Meatballs and Sweet Italian Sausage, Scrambled Eggs, Fried Apple Stuffed French Toast, Lucky Red Potatoes, Sausage, Eggs Benedict and Glazed with Maple Baby Carrots.

There will also be fresh fruit and salad buffets, as well as pastry and dessert buffets.

Seating is from 10:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m

Correct attire and reservations are required.

Tickets cost $42 for adults, $28.50 for children under 10 and children under 3 eat free.

A 20% server gratuity will be added for all parties.

The Galley Grille will begin seating at 1:00 PM on Mother’s Day, with the last seating at 5:00 PM

Their Mother’s Day menu includes soups and appetizers, as well as a la carte entrees.

Soups and entrees include New England clam chowder, chicken and rice soup, garlic shrimp, bone-in wings, crispy calamari and Mediterranean portobello mushrooms, stuffed with feta, spinach, olives, roasted red pepper and artichoke.

Entrees include baked stuffed sole, seafood casserole, salmon, chicken, roast turkey, bacon-wrapped filet mignon and prime rib.

They also have lobster options, as well as a children’s menu.

White’s of Westport is hosting a Mother’s Day Grand Brunch Buffet on Sunday, May 12 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

The Grand Brunch Buffet includes a cheese and cracker display, salad station, smoked salmon platter, scrambled eggs, sausage, potatoes, Brussels sprouts, Mozambique chicken, Newburg seafood, tortelloni with spinach and roasted garlic, fried chicken and more.

There will be a station for slicing honey-baked ham and prime rib, as well as a station for Belgian waffles.

Plus pastries, desserts, coffee, tea, wine, champagne, homemade mimosas and a Bloody Mary station.
