One LPU student suffered bullet injuries during a clash between two groups

PHAGWARA: One youth (student of LPU Phagwara) sustained serious bullet injuries during the firing while three youths sustained minor injuries during a violent clash between two groups of students of LPU Phagwara at the law gate near LPU Phagwara in the early hours today.

All four injured were taken to Phagwara Civil Hospital, but a seriously injured Satyam Panwar (21), a resident of Noida, was referred to Jalandhar Hospital.

Chief Medical Officer Dr. Lehimber Ram said the other three, including Yash Rathi, Adarsh ​​Tripathi and Prikshit, were discharged after administering first aid.

Superintendent of Police Rupinder Kaur Bhatti rushed to the spot around 4 am today.

According to reports, the injured Satyam Panwar LPU student who now lives at PG Law Gate LPU Phagwara, along with his other companions, was roaming around the Law Gate near LPU Phagwara, when Bihar migrant One Jai Muni Ratnam (25) (Rusticated student of LPU Phagwara) LPU Phagwara along with three unknown youths came there on a motorcycle and argued with Satyam Panwar and opened fire on him.

He suffered bullet injuries in his stomach (right side) and right arm.

The attacker Jai Muni Ratnam fled from the spot.

People from the area took him to Civil Hospital Phagwara, where doctors referred him to Jalandhar.

Two companions of striker Jai Muni Ratnam were also slightly injured: Prikishat Rana (BBA LLB-IV Semester) R/o Karnal Haryana, Adarsh ​​​​Tripathi (BBA LLB-IV Semester) R/o Madhya Pardesh.

Another youth Yash Rathi also suffered injuries. All three youths were admitted to Civil Hospital Phagwara but were discharged after receiving first aid, CMO DR Lehimber Ram said.

SP Phagwara Rupinder Kaur Bhatti along with police reached the spot and recovered 02 grenades with cartridges.

Four youths, including Prikshit and Adarsh, were taken into custody for further investigation. Further details are awaited.
