Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday said that the Congress, Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM) and Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) are aiming to take reservations away from tribals, backward classes and Dalits and give them to Muslims. an iota of reservation based on religion.

Addressing an election rally at Palamu in Jharkhand, Prime Minister Modi said, “These parties now want to remove the reservation of SC-ST-OBC. When our Constitution was framed, it was unanimously decided that reservations would never be allowed in India. But now the Congress-JMM and RJD jointly want to deprive the reservations of tribals, backward classes and Dalits and give them to Muslims on the basis of religion. Congress makes this announcement, but JMM and RJD remain silent, giving their tacit approval.”

The Prime Minister claimed that he would not allow any party to tamper with the Constitution.

“My tribal, Dalit and backward brothers and sisters should accept in writing (as a guarantee) that as long as Modi is alive, I will not allow even an iota of reservation to be made for Dalits, backward classes and tribes. their vote bank based on religion, I will not allow anyone to interfere with the Constitution,” he stated.

He further criticized the Congress for neglecting the interests of Palamu and overlooking the tribals and backward classes of the district.

“The Congress and its supporters have failed Palamu. Their leaders in Delhi may not even be aware of Palamu’s location on the map. Most Dalits and Adivasis live in these types of districts. They have insulted Palamu by labeling it as backward. I said this is unacceptable. People In so-called backward areas, officials also harbored hopes and aspirations.

The Prime Minister also alleged that the JMM and Congress leaders had amassed huge wealth through corruption.

“Modi was born with a purpose. The JMM Congress leaders have amassed huge wealth through corruption. I don’t even own a bicycle. They are collecting everything so that their children can inherit. But my heirs are all of you. Your children and grandchildren are that too.” my heirs. A person who has not seen his mother coughing because of the smoke cannot comprehend these tears. The ‘Shehzade’ of Congress seeks solace in Modi’s tears of disappointment and hopelessness.”

The elections will be held in Jharkhand in four phases: May 13, 20, 25 and June 1.

In 2019, the BJP-led National Democratic Alliance (NDA) won 12 seats in Jharkhand, while the BJP won 11 seats. The Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM) and the Congress won one seat each.

The general election will be held in seven phases, spread over six weeks, from April 19 to June 1.

The polls for the first phase and the second phase were held on April 19 and April 26 respectively. The next voting round will take place on May 7. The results will be announced on June 4.
