Haters remain clear – Niger Delta youths warn Peter Obi, others – Igbere TV

Niger Delta youths have warned Labor Party presidential candidate Peter Obi and other critics to stay away from the ongoing Lagos-Calabar coastal road initiated by President Bola Tinubu’s administration.

The Coordinator of 21st Century Youths of Niger Delta and Agitators with Conscience, Izon Ebi, issued the warning in a statement that Tinubu’s Special Adviser, Bayo Onanuga, posted on his official X-handle on Friday.

The group warned Obi and other critics not to discourage the Federal Government from undertaking what they described as the first major landmark project in the Niger Delta.

The group, while commending Tinubu for approving the road that would traverse the Niger Delta coastlines, said the highway is both a political and economic masterpiece of the current administration.

The group stressed that the project, when completed, would bring about an economic boom and revival of tourism in the Niger Delta.

The statement read: “We must ask ourselves whether it is because the project is not happening in their region or because they can no longer hide their hatred and contempt for the people of the Niger Delta.

“We, the people of the Niger Delta, support the noble move of the President and at this point send clear warnings to haters of the Niger Delta to stay away.”
