WASHINGTON – The State Department notified Congress on Friday that four Israeli military units flagged under the so-called Leahy Act for gross human rights violations have taken corrective action and can continue to receive US assistance, Al- Monitor heard.

The four units are the Shimshon Battalion, the West Bank Branch of the Coordinator for Government Activities in the Areas (COGAT), the Ma’avarim Unit (Crossings) and the Shahar Battalion.

The State Department has not yet made a decision on the ultra-Orthodox battalion known as Netzah Yehuda.
