New Bear Grylls and Holly Willoughby Netflix show primed for cast feud after two celebrities have ‘awkward’ secret histories

BEAR Grylls and Holly Willoughby’s new Netflix show is on the verge of a cast feud over two celebrities’ secret histories.

In Bear Hunt we see a series of celebrities trying to avoid being “hunted” by the survival expert. If they are caught, they will be eliminated.

And while there are a range of names linked to the project, it looks like a surprising feud has already brewed before the cameras even started rolling.

Una Healy and Danny Cipriani could fall out over her ex-husband Ben Foden’s 2010 comments.

The former Northampton Saints player had taken a big swipe at his rival for allowing his career to be threatened off the pitch.

He told The Mirror: “My girlfriend is in the spotlight more than me.

“If I ever have a picture with her it’s normal: ‘Here’s Una Healy… and rugby friend Ben Foden’. I’ll never be the lead.

“I’ve never been a big clubber anyway. It’s always been part of rugby culture to get drunk, but I do it with the boys! For me it’s rugby, rugby, rugby.

“Cipriani was a bit unlucky. He probably did it a little too early. He had to concentrate a little more on his rugby.”

Fourteen years later, his comments are still remembered, with a source telling The Sun: “Danny is still angry about it.

“This will make things awkward for both of them as Una is trying to maintain a good relationship with Ben for the sake of her children and now she has to be around someone who hates her ex.

“It’s not exactly comfortable for either of them and they could end up clashing.”

The big budget show, hosted by Holly, sees celebrities learn survival skills with adventurer Bear.

He will then chase them through the jungle as the stars run away from him to win.

Participants include Ted Lasso star Kola Bokinni, Spice Girl Mel B, Little Mix’s Jesy Nelson, former tennis star Boris Becker and Strictly Judge Shirley Ballas.

In formally announcing the show, which will air next year, Netflix said: “Bear believes there is an action hero in all of us – even the celebs – but how strong is their will to survive?

“As Bear puts them to the test, those who fail to impress face the dreaded ‘Bear Hunt’ – a brutal game of cat and mouse where they are hunted down and, if caught, eliminated from the show .”
