The Vice Chancellor of the Federal University of Health Sciences (FUSHO, Prof. Innocent Ujah) has called for unity and unity, regardless of tribe and religion, for the collective existence and development of the country.

The VC spoke about him during the conferring of the title of Chieftaincy of Nwannedinma 1 in Ezeleke, Umuahia South Local Government of Abia State.

Professor Ujah, who appreciated Eze Godfrey Ibeakanma, Ezeukwu Ezeleke Autonomous Community, for his visionary leadership, described it as transformational leadership, stressing that “this is not in Idoma land, not in Benue State, not even in Enugu State which is closer to us. but in Abia State. And again, it is good to maintain the relationship, we have to open up because we are all human and one Nigeria”.

Ujah, who noted that before the recognition by Royal Majesty, Eze Godfrey Ibeakanma and his traditional council, he had no personal contact, “but through interaction with other processes, they decided that I deserve to be honoured. I have resisted this for a long time, but the way it is celebrated is about believing that I deserve it and that I really appreciate it.”

According to him, there was a big lesson to be learned for friendship across borders, because the tribalistic, nepotistic attitude makes it difficult for us to trust each other,” but this was proof that we are still one.

“My belief is that you don’t have to know someone to help him/her. It is probably my weakness that has proven to be my strength. I met Chief (lawyer Iroham Ezerendu at the National Institute of Medical Research, I didn’t know him from anywhere but he worked hard, my hallmark of excellence is that you have to work hard and get results.

Speaking at the ceremony, His Royal Majesty, Eze Godfrey Ibeakanma, Ezeukwu Ezeleke, Umuahia South Local Government of Abia State, who made the impassioned appeal during the inauguration of Prof. Ujah’s chieftainship at his palace, affirmed Prof. Ujah’s position and stressed that Nigeria would be stronger and better if Nigerians were united as one, composed by God.

While confirming Prof Ujah as the Nwanndinamba 1 of Ezeleke Autonomous Community Umuopara, Umuahia South Local Government of Abia State, HRM informed that Prof Innocent Ujah was honored for his contributions to the growth and development of education and humanity in Nigeria.

According to the monarch, Ujah is a true Nigerian, ‘he is a detribilized Nigeria that has gone beyond religion, ethnicity and other original sentiments’

He explained that Ujah’s data has not only contributed immensely to the development of the medical profession in Nigeria, but also to the development of humanity, regardless of the gap he believes Nigeria needs.

Further, the traditional ruler said: “We are happy to have discovered him for his contributions to medical education and human capital development in Nigeria and in our community here in Abia State. “We have therefore decided to honor him with the title of Chieftaincy of Nwannedinamba 1 of Ezeleke Autonomous Community, Umuopara, Umuahia South Local Government of Abia State as we believe it is equally befitting from his great heart”.

He further explained that the Ezeleke Autonomous Community Traditional Council recognizes people based on their good records and expectations that they will do more tomorrow. of our dear country and humanity.”
