Teenager stabbed to death over romantic rivalry in Delhi

NEW DELHI: An 18-year-old boy was stabbed to death in southeast Delhi by two persons, including a minor, over enmity towards a girl, an official said on Friday, adding that they have nabbed the perpetrators.

Sharing the details, police said that two Police Control Room (PCR) calls were received at Okhla police station at 5.27 pm on Thursday regarding the injuries of a boy following which a police team rushed to the spot.

At 6.22 pm, another PCR call was received at Okhla Industrial Area of ​​Apollo Hospital that a patient named Shivam, a resident of JJ Camp, Okhla Phase-II, had been put in an injured condition and an argument had taken place in Salora Park in Ok.

“He was admitted to the ICU and later declared dead by the doctor during treatment. The crime team and forensic experts were also called to the spot, who inspected the crime scene,” said Deputy Commissioner of Police (Southeast) Rajesh Deo.

During investigation, it was found that Shivam, along with two other boys identified as Dharmender (18) and a youth (17), residents of the same locality, had come to Salora Park at about 5.11 pm. After 7-8 minutes, Shivam came out of the park and while he was riding his motorcycle, he suddenly fell on the footpath and blood oozed from his neck,” the DCP said.

Further investigation revealed that the minor had stabbed Shivam in the neck. “A case under Sections 302/34 of the IPC is registered and both the accused are arrested,” the DCP added.
