The Delhi High Court’s Legal Services Committee includes lawyers with different skills in its pro-Bono panel of lawyers

Under the leadership and guidance of Justice Rajiv Shakdher, Judge, High Court of Delhi and Chairman, Delhi High Court Legal Services Committee, the Delhi High Court Legal Services Committee (DHCLSC) has taken steps to promote the inclusivity of lawyers with different disabilities by including them on its Pro-Bono Panel of Lawyers.

DHCPSC now has Adv. Rahul Bajaj and Adv. Amar Anil Jain advocates for people with visual impairments, bringing with them their diverse experience and legal knowledge.

Given Rahul Bajaj graduated cum laude with a bachelor’s degree in civil law from the University of Oxford Law School and also trained in human rights advocacy regarding the death penalty at the University of Oxford. He was also judicial clerk to Justice DY Chandrachud, Chief Justice of India.

Given Amar JainThe lawyer, who had been in practice for eleven years, was also appointed as an expert in the powerful advisory committee set up by the Supreme Court to make recommendations to ensure the accessibility of banknotes and digital means for conducting financial transactions.

In the same way, Given S. K. RungtaSenior Advocate has also offered its services pro-bono for those seeking legal aid through DHCLSC.

It is significant to note that Given Arvinda disabled lawyer with cerebral palsy, has also been appointed as an apprentice at DHCLSC, to support the lawyers in Front Office, and for which he will also be awarded an honorarium.
